Hey everyone!! I said that I would update you all on the church build when we completed it, so now it is the time you all have been waiting for!! I am a couple weeks late in this blog for the church build, but that is okay because I still get to share about the amazing experience we had!
In total, we had three days to build this church and when we arrived on the build site, I was nervous, because all that was there was the foundation and the framing. No trusses for the roof, no walls, doors, nothing. For reference here is a picture of what the Church build looked like when we arrived:
So we were literally building this church from scratch. Now when we first arrived at the church build, I was thinking to myself, “no way we finish this, we maybe get the trusses up and finish the walls. But there is no way we complete this project.” But I can say with full certainty that God did indeed prove me wrong. The first thing we did when we got there was, we started to put metal mesh on the top of the wooden frames:
Then once we finished that we started to cut the metal siding:
And we even got the trusses built and put up on the first day!!:
So, at the end of day 1, we had all of the mesh, one side of the metal siding, and the trusses secured in their spots. I do not have many pictures from day 2 but we were able to finish the first wall and the second wall, finish most of the back wall, start the front wall, and complete the half of the roof, while also starting to put doors on the building, so here’s day 2:
And then day 3, by the strength of the lord our God we completed the entire Church Build!
